ENTEROSURE® for Layers

Proven Probiotic Power for Egg Shell Quality and Gut Health

ENTEROSURE is a proprietary multi-strain probiotic blend designed to support intestinal health and optimize performance in laying hens. With a scientifically backed combination of Bacillus strains, ENTEROSURE promotes a resilient gut microbiome, enhances eggshell quality, and improves skeletal strength – delivering benefits that matter to both producers and consumers.1-3

Why ENTEROSURE?

  • Supports a Healthy Microbiome

The Bacillus strains in ENTEROSURE help inhibit harmful pathogens like Clostridium perfringens, Salmonella, and Escherichia coli, while promoting beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria.4-6,8

  • Improves Eggshell Quality

In controlled trials, hens supplemented with ENTEROSURE showed significantly stronger eggshells and improved shell thickness at multiple stages of production.4,5

  • Enhances Bone Strength

ENTEROSURE supplementation led to measurable improvements in tibia weight, density, and calcium content – critical for long-term hen health and productivity.7

  • Heat-Stable & Versatile

Formulated to remain effective during pelleting, packing, and storage. Compatible with a wide range of feed ingredients, organic acids, and most antibiotics.9

Mode of Action

ENTEROSURE is a proprietary blend of probiotic Bacillus strains. These strains secrete antimicrobial metabolites and quorum quenching molecules to directly inhibit and manage the growth of specific pathogenic bacteria and promote, restore, and maintain a healthy microbiome, enabling the product to manage intestinal health challenges and improve egg quality.9-11

ENTEROSURE Mode of Action

Backed by Research7

In a 14-week feeding trial with Hy-Line® (Hy-Line International, West Des Moines, IA) Brown Layers, ENTEROSURE® demonstrated:

  • Increased Eggshell Breaking Strength
  • Significant improvements at day 42 and day 98 compared to control.

  • Increased Shell Thickness
  • Enhanced thickness at key production milestones (days 42, 70, and 98).

  • Increased Tibia Calcium & Density
  • 11% increase in tibia weight and 10% increase in density, with higher calcium levels.
