PRO-OXINE® AH

Disinfection Solutions for Poultry and Swine Health

Simplify sanitation and disinfection management with PRO-OXINE® AH, a high-efficacy, broad-spectrum, stabilized chlorine dioxide solution that is proven to disinfect drinking water supply of livestock and poultry. PRO-OXINE AH is offered as part of an all-around service program while providing proven protection from pathogens, resulting in healthier and more efficient animals.

Drinking water sanitation

Water is an essential nutrient for optimal animal health and performance, but its quality is an often-overlooked management component. Pathogen growth and build up in water lines can be fueled by water-delivered additives such as antibiotics, probiotics, and vitamins, and even minerals naturally present in water such as iron and manganese. Pathogens can multiply safely protected within slime buildups in water lines and seep into the drinking water stream ultimately hurting animal health and performance. Pathogen buildup, if left unchecked, can grow and eventually clog water lines, resulting in reduced water flow and reduced animal performance.

Unlike flush programs, PRO-OXINE AH is continuously applied in water lines, constantly disinfecting the water supply, and consistently improving drinking water quality. This results in healthier and better performing animals.

Why Water Disinfection Matters to the Success of  Your Swine Operation

Water is often referred to as the forgotten nutrient when it comes to raising swine. Most often water quality is an afterthought addressed only when it becomes an immediate concern. Water is the number one resource animals need to consume daily to survive. Without regular monitoring or testing of your site’s water, this leaves an open door to your biosecurity plan. Unchecked water can pose a significant risk to the health of your animals and bottom line.

Water Quality Management: Addressing an Overlooked Essential Nutrient

If the sanitation of your livestock or poultry drinking water isn’t a priority today, it should be. Kemin sat down with Best Veterinary Solutions (BVS) Water Services Manager Mitch Downs to talk about today’s water-quality challenges — how they affect animal performance and how testing can help mitigate them. Here are some frequently asked questions that Downs answered for us.
