Liquid Antimicrobial: Pathogen Control for Swine Water

Designed specifically for pathogen control in water for pigs, KEM SAN^® is a unique combination of four organic acids (Propionic, Acetic, Benzoic and Sorbic) that is buffered to an optimal pH range of 4.7-5.7. KEM SAN is able to optimize the effectiveness of chlorine, bacterial control and overall handling by farm personnel. KEM SAN is an EPA-registered product (No. 8596-31) and is proven safe and effective.

Specifically, KEM SAN plays a key role in improving performance in nursery pigs as a tool for enteric disease control and increasing profitability. Additionally, KEM SAN is effective against biofilms in water lines.

• In vitro data shows inhibition to a broad range of pathogenic bacteria. Recommended Use of KEM SAN Liquid Antimicrobial

• Sanitize drinking lines prior to placement of pigs
• Reduce pathogen load in drinking water at placement and during high stress periods, including feed changes and disease pressures
• For continued use under normal conditions or for intermittent use during periods of stress
