RupriVia™

RupriVia™ is a rumen-specific active dry yeast designed to support bacterial adaptation during dietary transitions and challenging field conditions. It also ensures consistent DMI, improves fermentation and increases digestion and nutrient assimilation via balancing ruminal microflora and stabilization of ruminal redox potential.

Active Dry Yeast plays a functional, biological role in the rumen by modifying fermentation conditions, stabilizing the microflora, and improving microbial protein synthesis. Its effects are indirect but powerful.

  • Increases availability of fermentable energy - Live yeast enhances fiber breakdown, also supports higher microbial crude protein.
  • Scavenges oxygen - Live yeast consumes oxygen, allowing anaerobic bacteria (especially fiber digesters) to proliferate.
  • Reduces populations of harmful or opportunistic microbes. By stabilizing pH and improving redox balance, yeast suppresses: Excessive lactic-acid–producing bacteria, undesirable gram-negative species that release endotoxins. This maintains healthier fermentation and reduces inflammation risk.

What does it mean by a Rumen Specific Strain?

Saccharomyces cerevisiae is allochthonous but can be adapted to the ruminal environment, such a selected strain that is adapted to perform in the rumen is considered Rumen Specific strain.

RupriVia™ has scientifically selected strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae for ruminants developed by screening multiple strains based on strain adaptation and strain performance in rumen.

Explore the benefits of RupriVia™ in feed for ruminants

1.       Stabilizes the fermentation process in rumen

RupriVia™ works at the core of rumen function by promoting a more harmonious interaction among fiber‑digesting microbes, starch utilizers, and lactate‑modulating microbes. By helping maintain a steady fermentation rhythm, it reduces the chances of sudden shifts in rumen acidity and ensures smoother microbial turnover. This balanced ecosystem enables animals to extract nutrients more consistently from both forages and concentrating portions of the ration.

2.     Contributes to Better Feed Efficiency and Resource Utilization

With more stable microbial activity and enhanced fermentation pathways, RupriVia™ helps animals convert feed inputs into usable energy more economically. Improved efficiency in feed means fewer nutrients are wasted, and more of the ration is channeled toward growth, milk production, or reproductive performance.

3.     Enhances Nutrient Digestibility and Encourages Higher DMI

RupriVia™ promotes the growth of beneficial fiber‑digesting microbes, improving fiber breakdown and reducing digestive discomfort. This naturally encourages higher dry matter intake and strengthens overall metabolic balance.

4.     Ensures Consistent Performance Under Practical Farm Conditions

One of the biggest strengths of RupriVia™ is its reliability across real-world, variable scenarios. Whether animals face heat load, ration changes, inconsistent forage quality, or other environmental pressures, RupriVia™ continues to support rumen stability and physiological balance. This consistent performance helps farmers maintain predictable outcomes and minimize dips in productivity, regardless of conditions on the ground.

5.       Elevates Milk Production and Enhances Key Milk Components

By optimizing rumen fermentation and VFA production, RupriVia™ contributes directly to improved milk yield. Animals fed diets supplemented with RupriVia™ often show increases in daily milk yield along with better fat percentages. This dual improvement boosts both volume and quality, enhancing overall farm profitability.
