In laboratory, the benefit of using an antioxidant to stabilise a feed can be demonstrated via an accelerated test (i.e. the OXITEST). An improvement of 23% in an accelerated test stressing the feed at a temperature of 100 degree Celsius, which resulted in a significant stability to oxidation in feed stored in standard conditions (20 C).
