OXINE® AD - Chlorine Dioxide Solution
OXINE® AD is a liquid antimicrobial solution developed by Kemin Bio Solutions to deliver fast-acting, broad-spectrum microbial control for HVAC systems, air ducts, and environmental sanitation. Formulated with stabilized sodium chlorite and activated with a food-grade GRAS acid, these solutions generate chlorine dioxide—a powerful oxidizer that effectively targets bacteria, mold, fungi, and other odor, stain, or damage causing organisms in air ducts.
Kemin’s solutions are designed for precise, controlled activation—producing free chlorine dioxide on-site through manual acid addition or automated dosing systems. This tailored activation maximizes antimicrobial performance while minimizing chemical waste, corrosion, and system downtime.
OXINE AD is an EPA-registered disinfectant available in a 2% concentration, offering effective support for maintaining clean indoor environments across a broad range of commercial and industrial settings.
When acidified, OXINE AD generates free chlorine dioxide—an oxidizer that penetrates microbial cell walls and oxidizes proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids.1,2 This process disrupts key metabolic functions and leads to microbial death.
Chlorine dioxide’s neutral charge and small molecular size make it highly effective at infiltrating porous surfaces and removing odor, stain, or damage-causing organisms in hard-to-reach HVAC components. The free chlorine dioxide form remains active longer than many conventional sanitizers, extending antimicrobial protection and minimizing microbial rebound after application.3
Our experts collaborate with your team to optimize antimicrobial integration into existing operations, ensuring seamless implementation and peak performance.
