Lutein is primarily sourced from dried marigold petals, the flower of Tagetes erecta L, which are rich in lutein.
Lutein content is associated with the level of color intensity.*
Our proprietary lutein manufacturing process has been developed and refined over the last 25 years.
Our marigold flowers are grown in India, meticulously handpicked, and extracted resulting in marigold oleoresin which is shipped to Kemin headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa where it is further processed into unesterified (free) FloraGLO® lutein.
