Veterinary Sampling Cards

Sampling Submission Guidelines

An FTA card is a chemically treated filter paper designed for the collection, preservation and shipment of biological samples for subsequent nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) analysis. Certain chemicals added to the cards do lyse and inactivate bacteria and viruses to preserve their DNA and/or RNA for detection by PCR.
