Diagnostic Reagents for Zika and West Nile Virus

Access to these reagents is limited to qualified laboratories and approved commercial partners.

What diagnostic reagents are available for Zika and West Nile Virus testing?

Kemin offers select monoclonal antibodies and related reagents for laboratory-based testing of Zika Virus and West Nile Virus in animals. Certain offerings are aligned with diagnostic processes developed through collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Reagents are provided to support in-house diagnostic testing or, where applicable, integration into commercial diagnostic kits through approved sublicensing pathways. Availability varies by pathogen and intended diagnostic use. All materials are intended for professional laboratory use.

Diagnostic Options for West Nile Virus

Reagents supporting antibody detection for West Nile Virus are available to qualified laboratories through an agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

This agreement provides access to reagents and a patent-pending diagnostic process used to detect antibodies to West Nile Virus in animals. Materials are available to state, commercial, and research laboratories conducting in-house testing for horses, dogs, and cats.

Laboratories interested in using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention diagnostic process may obtain reagents directly through Kemin.

Use of West Nile Virus Reagents in Commercial Diagnostic Kits

Sublicensing arrangements authorize the use of designated reagents and the associated diagnostic process in test kits intended for direct sale to veterinarians. Availability depends on eligibility and intended commercial application.
