The European organic food market keeps on growing.

Consumers are becoming increasingly demanding when it comes to their food purchases. They want to avoid products with e-numbers and synthetic food additives, but their food must be fresh and stay fresh for as long as possible. This evolution explains the increasing popularity of organic foods.

The European organic food market is set to reach USD 39.04 billion by 2020 with a compound annual growth rate of close to seven percent. Denmark, Switzerland, the UK and France account for the biggest growth rate and market share1.

Kemin adds organic alternative to BactoCEASE product line.

In response to the growing demand for organic foods, Kemin has developed a Certisys®2 certified-organic version of BactoCEASE NV OR Liquid. This food safety solution enables manufacturers to produce safe, clean-label products for meat, poultry, fish and deli-salads.

BactoCEASE extends the shelf life by controlling spoilage bacteria growth without negatively impacting texture and flavour of the finished food product.
