In 1981 Kemin introduced its first enzyme product, Kemzyme™, and within 20 years we had published 14 scientific papers on enzymes.
By 2020 Kemin had published 36 papers and secured patents for six enzymes. Today we have enzyme products available for multiple industries.
Our industry-leading enzyme research takes place in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In order to think globally and act locally, we also have regional application research facilities and customer service labs in South America, South Africa, and India. This allows us to address the industry issues and regulatory concerns of a specific region to better serve our customers.
Kemin’s legacy with enzymes started with and continues to grow in Animal Nutrition. Over the years we have expanded our products to include the aquaculture, food technology, textiles, and biofuel industries. We’ve launched more than 20 products in these five industries in the last decade alone.
