Compelled by Curiosity™

We are motivated to play an active role in solving current global challenges.

From the denim you put on to what you put on the dinner table; our ingredients serve dozens of industries impacting humans, animals, pets, and plants. Compelled by curiosity, we consistently dedicate our time to exploring ways to make safer, more sustainable products that serve the evolving needs of our customers and the changing demands of our world.

At Kemin, we are compelled by curiosity.

It is the driving force that pushes us toward our vision of transforming lives. With science as our foundation and an inextinguishable spirit of discovery, we strive to improve life for people, pets, plants and animals. We embrace opportunities that allow us to explore creative solutions for the world’s complex challenges. We look beyond what is—to see what could be.

Extraordinary things can happen.

For R.W. and Mary Nelson, their curiosity sparked important questions. “Why don’t we start our own business?” “What if we use this Maytag washer as an agitator?” “How do we make a mold inhibitor?” “Why don’t we make our own equipment?”

Those questions led to more questions which inspired new ideas and created more and better opportunities for improving life around the world. Now, more than 60 years and thousands of compelling questions later, Kemin is producing over 500 specialty ingredients, spanning six continents, and employing thousands of team members serving more than 120 countries.

Since 1961, we have been compelled by curiosity, to harness the power and possibilities of science to transform the quality of life around the world.
