Label-friendliness begins with solubility
To put an end to one of our most frequently asked questions: yes, Kemin’s products are soluble in water and fats. In fact, our range of label-friendly food solutions encompass different water-soluble products, as well as lipo-soluble products. Both are proof of how an alliance of separate ingredients can bring life to a potent solution, thanks to the power of emulsifiers.
Emulsifiers, substances designed to bring stability to the mix by increasing kinetic stability, allow us to disperse antioxidants and plant extracts in food systems in which they would normally not dissolve. Water- and liposoluble antioxidants can be combined into one product by adding these emulsifiers to the blend.
Emulsifiers that are more soluble in water will generally form oil-in-water emulsions, while those that are more soluble in oil will form water-in-oil emulsions. Furthermore, it allows to create synergistic combinations in which the ingredient combination outperforms each single ingredient.

NaturFORT™ rosemary and green tea blend
NaturFORT is a versatile combination consisting of (oil soluble) rosemary and (water soluble) green tea extracts, carrying superior protection with a positive impact on flavour, colour and odour. The blends are highly efficacious in sauces, dressings, and condiments as well as in meat and poultry products. The combination of water and oil soluble ingredients gives a stronger protection of the entire food matrix. And yes, plant-based foods and meat alternatives are equally covered.
FORTIUM® R natural rosemary extract
FORTIUM R comprises our line of rosemary extract-based products designed for maximum effectiveness against colour and flavour degradation. The food products can be used in several applications such as sauces and dressings, fats and oils and proteins providing a label-friendly alternative to traditionally used synthetic antioxidants. Furthermore, Kemin offers synergistic blends with rosemary extract, gallic acid, green tea extract and other label-friendly ingredients. Available to grant protection to both meat and meat analogues & plant-based food products.
