VANNIX C4

Phytogenics and Probiotics to Knock Out Poultry Gut Health Challenges

VANNIX C4 is a proprietary blend of phytogenic ingredients and a probiotic (Bacillus subtilis PB6) used to minimize the impact of enteric challenges on poultry performance.

With more than 50% of commercial poultry raised without antibiotics today, producers need novel solutions that fit in their management systems to help support poultry health and performance. As a phytogenic feed additive, VANNIX C4 serves as a natural, cost-effective antibiotic alternative to help reduce the impact of pathogens – like Eimeria and Clostridium perfringens – on poultry intestinal integrity, thereby allowing poultry to achieve their full performance potential. Research has shown that VANNIX C4 can be used not only in conventional programs, but also in combination with coccidiosis vaccination programs to help poultry maintain performance without impacting immunity development.1,2

Features and Benefits

  • Helps coccidiosis-vaccinated poultry maintain performance1,2,3
  • Improves overall gut health, which can lead to improved performance

Phytogenic Feed Additives – Not All Are Created Equal

Phytogenics are natural, bioactive molecules from plants such as tannins, essential oils, saponins or flavonoids. Conventional phytogenic feed additives (PFAs) often contain ingredients sourced from dried plant materials or extracted plant essential oils which – because of natural variation among plants – can result in variable levels of active molecules in the PFA. This variation may impact the efficacy and consistency of the PFA under field conditions.4

VANNIX C4 differs from conventional PFAs because it not only contains both phytogenic and probiotic ingredients but also because the ingredients and active molecule levels are standardized during manufacturing of the final product. This process helps to ensure that VANNIX C4 will provide consistent responses for your operation.

Vannix C4 – Multiple Activities For Maximum Impact

Gut health challenges are frequently intertwined. That’s why VANNIX C4 was designed to offer multifaceted activities to knock-out common enteric pathogens including Eimeria and Clostridium perfringens.

A novel phytogenic feed additive, VANNIX C4 combines the functional activities of bioactive phytogenic molecules, including tannins, and the active microbial Bacillus subtilis PB6 to provide producers with a cost-effective antibiotic alternative solution for managing gut health challenges. Research has shown that the synergistic ingredient combination in VANNIX C4 protects gut health in four main ways, thereby supporting optimal poultry performance.

Suggested Feeding Rates

  • Broilers and Layers: 0.5 lb per ton of feed

Four Benefits of Tannins for Poultry Gut Health

Poultry producers know a healthy gut is critical for optimal performance. Unfortunately, managing enteric challenges – like coccidiosis and necrotic enteritis – in antibiotic-free production systems is anything but easy. To protect poultry from disease, using feed additives – like tannins – that offer a wide-range of potential benefits for optimal gut health is key.

Vaccination as a Tool in Evolving Broiler Coccidiosis Control

Coccidiosis is a complex, formidable challenge for broiler producers, especially those in antibiotic-free (ABF) systems. Historically managed with anticoccidial chemical drugs and antibiotics, two industry trends — the rise in ABF production and efforts to sustain the efficacy of available ionophore and chemical anticoccidials — have a growing number of producers looking to vaccines and other products to help control the parasitic disease that’s virtually ubiquitous in many production environments.
