Brett Cranston is a Sales Manager for Kemin Crop Technologies. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with Bachelor’s degrees in Agriculture Education and Agronomy. Cranston joins Kemin from Extenday USA, Inc. where he served as a technical field and sales support representative. Through past experiences, he has been immersed in a variety of agriculture systems from row crop operations in the Midwest, to tropical horticulture enterprises in the Caribbean and Hawaii, to fruit production at the Iowa State University Horticulture Research Station.
Brett is responsible for the direct sales of Kemin products to commercial horticulture operations focusing on fruit and vegetable markets across the United States. In addition, he establishes and grows strong relationships with integrated pest management (IPM) managers, plant health specialists, pest control advisers (PCAs) and business owners to promote product knowledge and cost-effective, solution-based IPM programs. He works closely with customers to provide tailored solutions to their existing programs to enhance crop performance and profitability.
Today, in his role as Sales Manager of Crop Technologies, he helps to be a strategic liaison between the industries he serves and Crop Technologies, to relay the research and technology to growers to better serve their needs.
Richard Jones is a sales manager for Kemin Crop Technologies working in California to establish and grow direct sales of Kemin products to commercial horticulture & agricultural operations.
Richard recently completed the Sustainable Agriculture Training program through California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He also attended Mt. San Jacinto Community College, CA and Loyola University Chicago, IL with a focus in Environmental Science. His most recent role was as the owner and operator of A Dream Come True Farms, a 6-acre certified organic farm producing fruits and vegetables for the Southern California market. Previously he was the West Coast Territory Manager for a large young plant production company, and the Regional District Sales Manager for a large wholesale grower of annual & perennial flowers and ornamental plants. His past work experiences equip him with extensive knowledge in sustainable agriculture methods, environmental science expertise, and certified organic operations. Rich is also an active member of multiple professional affiliations such as the California Farm Bureau, The San Diego County Flower & Plant Association and the Environmental Leadership Academy Alumni via Cal State San Marcos.
Today, in his role as Sales Manager, he develops relationships with professional growers, integrated pest management (IPM) managers and pest control advisers (PCAs), and supports customers by providing best practices and insights on the crop technologies solutions Kemin offers.
Darl Reed is a Senior Sales Manager for Kemin Crop Technologies. In this role, he helps horticulture professionals in Florida improve the profitability and productivity of their growing operations. He supports customers by providing best practices and insights on the crop technology solutions Kemin offers. Darl joined Kemin as a supply chain manager in 2000. He most recently served as a senior key account manager for ruminant sales for Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health, North America. During his time at Kemin, he has demonstrated successful leadership experience in sales, purchasing, logistics and manufacturing. He is a graduate of University of Maryland (BA, 86) and served as a military policeman and police investigator with the U.S. Army. When he’s not in the office, Darl enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, camping, working on cars and spending time with his family.
Vincent Livengood is the Technical Services Manager for Kemin Crop Technologies and a professional horticulturist with an incredibly diverse background. He graduated from Iowa State University (BS, Horticulture 1992) and immediately became a grower who went on to work in different size and types of growing operations around the United States. He’s done it all from plugs and propagation to finished bedding and pots crops and been involved in very diverse growing environments. An area of specialty for Vincent is insect and disease management, including biological control plans for spider mites and western flower thrips.
When Kemin Industries decided to create Crop Technologies in 2015, with its focus on sharing and providing solutions for the commercial greenhouse market, they recruited Vincent and his 20+ years of experience to lead the way.
Vincent is responsible for sharing his expertise and insights with both new growers and seasoned professionals, who are looking to solve challenging problems, better manage their operations and increase profitability by providing healthier, safer and more effective growing conditions. In addition to his insect and disease management expertise, he also has extensive knowledge in irrigation and environmental controls, as well as different types of chemical application techniques.
