On June 16, 2019, Kemin Industries unveiled a new logo and global vision to guide the global ingredient manufacturer to 2042 and beyond.
Kemin reaches more than 3.8 billion lives – half the world’s population – every day with its products and services. This was a vision set in 1998 with a target goal of 2019. Kemin reached this milestone two years early.
For Kemin to transform 80 percent of the world’s population – approximately 8 billion people – each must encounter Kemin products five times a day. From sunrise to sunset, they may have eggs for breakfast, feed their pets, wear jeans, take health supplements and purchase bakery items or meat at the market – each step of their daily routines an opportunity to interact with Kemin ingredients.
To focus on transforming the future, Kemin created a new logo to accompany its expanded global vision.
The new logo reflects transparency and innovation, while honoring Kemin’s history. The company kept its stylized “K” to commemorate the previous two logos. The thick circle that previously encased the logo has been replaced with an arch showing forward movement – but still in the signature Kemin red. The arch calls attention to the “I” to emphasize Kemin’s innovation. Behind the arch is the “N”, representing the Nelson family who stand behind Kemin now, just as they have since found the company, and will continue to do so.
Now, as Dr. Chris Nelson said, “We’ve turned our attention to ensuring that what we do at Kemin today creates a better tomorrow.”
