KEM SAN® is designed for broad spectrum contol of bacteria in livestock and poultry drinking water. KEM SAN is a unique combination of the most effective organic acids balanced by their individual pKa's and buffered over an optimal pH range.

Water Quality

Water is the most essential component of an animal's diet. Water is consumed twice as much as feed at normal temperatures. Water is involved in virtually every physiological process; however, water may be easily contaminated by pathogens that compromise animal health and performance. KEM SAN has been proven to inhibit and kill a broad spectrum of pathogenic bacteria in drinking water.

Organic Acids

KEM SAN Liquid Antimicrobial is a unique combination of the most effective organic acids balanced by their individual pKa's over an optimal pH range. It reduces and removes biofilm and algae residues when applied between herd cycles.

Regulatory Compliance

In today's regulatory environment, it is especially important to use products that fit with your compliance programs. KEM SAN Liquid Antimicrobial is approved and registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (No. 8596-31) so it is safe to use in your operation.

Trial Results

In commercial field trials, livestock and poultry consuming water treated with KEM SAN Liquid Antimicrobial have shown positive performance metrics and demonstrates KEM SAN Liquid Antimicrobial provides a measureable return on investment for livestock and poultry operations.

KEM SAN Liquid Antimicrobial is highly effective against a wide variety of organisms including E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas and Clostridia that are often the cause of economic problems in the field.

Sodium acid sulfate was given according to the manufacturer's recommendations for the first eight days. All chicks received Oxytetracycline with both water sanitation programs for a seven day treatment period.
