LYSOFORTE enhances nutrient absorption in pigs

  1. Improves fat absorption
  2. Improves nutrient absorption in sows
  3. Enhances Energy value (NE) of diets
  4. Improves FCR and Body weight
  5. Decreased feed cost by reformulation
  6. Decreased animal production cost
  7. Allows substitution of oil in the feed with cheaper components

Nutritional strategies for LYSOFORTE application

On top

LYSOFORTE Booster can be used on top of formulations to increase animal performance.

Growth response of LYSOFORTE on piglets

Figure 1. Growth response of LYSOFORTE on piglets (UK, 2013)

On top application is recommended for

  • young animals: piglets weaned – till 12 kg live weight
  • adult animals: sows – during the late gestation and lactation,

The expected results are

  • better nutrient digestibility
  • better FCR
  • more healthy condition of gastro-intestinal tract
  • lower body weight loss for lactating sows
  • lower back fat loss for lactating sows
  • higher litter weight at weaning
  • better litter uniformity
  • better carcass quality (fattening pigs)

Diet reformulation

The reformulation approach is a flexible nutritional tool to support nutritionists to save costs via simple optimization (oil replacement), use of cheaper and less dense raw materials or changing the balance of fats and oils.

The feed cost savings for the feed reformulated with LYSOFORTE Booster Dry was 5,4 E/tonne.

The use of LYSOFORTE Booster as a nutritional tool to reformulate diets contributes to significant cost savings without compromising performance.
