Kemin is only one of a handful of companies serving the meat and poultry industry that can provide products protecting against colour loss, flavour degradation and microbial spoilage. We do this using plant-based extracts that conserve the appearance, taste, and quality of food products with little change to their flavour, colour, and odour profiles. These extracts deliver vigorous antioxidant properties that delay oxidation and increase the shelf life of food products such as meat and poultry, spices and potato chips.
With consumers paying greater attention to food labels, our line of Kemin plant based extracts are label-friendly alternatives compared to synthetic antioxidants. We are one of the few vertically integrated suppliers that control the entire ingredient production process from seed to finished extract, ensuring 100% traceability in the supply chain. This closed, controlled crop production loop assures our customers of receiving a sustainable, consistent, and traceable supply of Kemin products.

FORTIUM® – Derived from mixed tocopherols, these antioxidants keep food fresh using plant based extracts, and are especially efficacious in food products with high fat oil content such as nuts, salad dressings, vegetable oils, and snack foods.
EN-HANCE™ – These antioxidants are formulated with ingredients proven to protect foods containing fats and oils, such as mayonnaise, nuts, potato chips, oils, cookies, and cereals.
One of the ingredients included in the Kemin antioxidant product line is ascorbyl palmitate (AP) and blends containing AP, which Kemin can offer from sustainable sourced palm oil according to the rules set by the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).
Kemin is the global leader in liquid antimicrobial technology. To satisfy consumer food safety concerns, our antimicrobials use well-known, accepted, and effective ingredients.
SHIELD®– These antimicrobials are specifically formulated to inhibit mold growth in bakery products.
BactoCEASE NV® – This group of products enhance food safety and extend the shelf life of ready-to-eat meats, processed meat, poultry and fish products by protecting against spoilage bacteria.

For this reason, Kemin Food Technologies provides customer laboratory services (CLS). Consisting of fully-equipped laboratories and teams of experts to develop, test, and recommend solutions targeting the specific needs, customer laboratory services serves as our customers’ private laboratory. Onsite consultations, brainstorming, and engineering assistance are also provided.
