FORTIUM plant based extracts and plant-derived antioxidants are effective at protecting a variety of food applications from colour and flavour degradation.

The FORTIUM product line includes sustainably-grown natural rosemary extract, acerola extract, mixed tocopherols, as well as synergistic blends of each. Combinations with gallic acid and citric acid are available as well.

FORTIUM plant-derived antioxidants are comprised of a line of mixed tocopherols and are also available as formulated blends. Our tocopherols formulations can provide extra protection for high stress processing conditions.

Both our plant-derived antioxidants and plant extracts have shown to be especially efficacious in extending the shelf life of food products with high fat oil content. The Kemin FORTIUM product line provides a desirable natural alternative to time-tested synthetic antioxidants such as Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), or TBHQ.

Kemin has the ability to understand food matrices and how various processing techniques and other ingredients used in formulations, as well as packaging, which can impact a products shelf life.
