FORTIUM T is a line of robust and label-friendly food antioxidants based on plant-derived tocopherols. These natural antioxidants are effective at protecting a variety of food applications - such as spices, dressings and cereals - from colour and flavour degradation.
Our plant-derived antioxidants have shown to be especially efficacious in extending the shelf life of food products with a high fat content. FORTIUM T provides a desirable alternative to synthetic antioxidants such as butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) or tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ).

Kemin offers both liquid and dry formulations as well as synergistic blends with plant-based extracts. One of the ingredients included in the Kemin natural antioxidant blends is ascorbyl palmitate (AP), which Kemin can offer from RSPO* certified sustainable palm oil. Kemin also offers natural and synthetic alpha tocopherols - a source of Vitamin E – that can be added to food products for health benefits, and to keep up or maintain daily vitamin intake levels.

FORTIUM® RPT40 Liquid | Label-friendly shelf life solution for marine oils
Marine oils are very vulnerable to oxidation due to their high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids. With FORTIUM® RPT40 Liquid you can protect products containing marine oils such as herring oil and salmon oil. As studies have shown, this liquid label-friendly antioxidant consists of tocopherols, rosemary extract and ascorbyl palmitate as the active ingredients, and has proven very effective in maintaining the shelf life of marine oil and keeping its quality for an extended period of time.
FORTIUM® TG20 Liquid | Natural antioxidant for animal fats
Next to vegetable and marine oils, animal fats remain a popular food ingredient. But due to their proneness to oxidate, they need the best possible protection in terms of food safety and shelf life. FORTIUM® TG20 Liquid is a natural antioxidant to extend the shelf life of animal fats, as studies have proven with, for example, goose fat. Goose fat contains a high amount of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids it is more unstable and vulnerable to lipid oxidation (rancidity). Antioxidants and extracts can protect unsaturated fats from lipid oxidation.
