Breakthrough research highlights “Beauty from Within” opportunities for FloraGLO® Lutein
Des Moines, IA – July 1, 2009 – Kemin Health, makers of FloraGLO Lutein, presented Kemin’s latest discoveries in “Oral Nutrients for Skin Care” at the 6th Annual Cosmeceuticals Conference in New York City on June 30th, 2009. The presentation was given by vice president of research and development, Zoraida DeFreitas, PhD.

The Cosmeceuticals Conference included key influencers from the dermatology and cosmetics industry looking to capitalize on the emerging “beauty from within” trend. Dr. Rod Ausich, president of Kemin Health, stated “Recent research has shown consumers are willing to consider new supplements, foods, and beverages that have specific benefits tied to beauty and anti-aging.”
According to Business Insights, the market for oral beauty supplements in the US and Europe is projected to grow nearly 9% to $2.5 billion by 2011.
Dr. DeFreitas’s presentation focused on the protective role that FloraGLO Lutein may provide due to its ability to fight free radicals in the skin, as well as the environmental challenges to skin health.
