DES MOINES, Iowa - April 25, 2008 - Kemin Industries, Inc., a nutritional ingredient manufacturer, hired two and promoted two employees. Jed Harms, president of Kemin AgriFoods North America, said, "Kemin is experiencing an exciting period of growth with the launch of a new product in January and several anticipated product launches later in the year. We welcome this opportunity to acknowledge employees who have vigorously worked to achieve this success as well as bring in new employees to continue growing our business and serving our customers".
New Kemin employees include: - Kim Crocker joined Kemin as the Executive Assistant. In this role, Kim provides administrative support to the President and Executive Team of Kemin AgriFoods North America. Before joining Kemin, Kim served as the Executive Assistant to the General Manager of the Des Moines Register and as the Administrative Assistant at Indianola High School.
- Erin Mitchell joined Kemin as Marketing Communications Coordinator. In this role Erin will assist with public relations, advertising, product support as well as tradeshow and meeting planning. Erin has held internships with Kemin, Target Corporation and IMG World. Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Truman State University.
Promoted employees include: - Tommy Truong was promoted to Quality Control Manager. Since joining Kemin in 1998, Tommy has served as production area manager as well as held several scientist positions within quality control, customer laboratory and research and development departments. Tommy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Iowa.
- Matt Newhouse was promoted to Senior Quality Assurance Auditor. Since joining Kemin in 2003 Matt has served as Associate Documentation Specialist as well as Quality Assurance Auditor and ISO 9001:2000 Management Representative. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Newman University.
