Ing. V. Kudrna finished his studies on University of Agriculture in Prague. He works for the Research Institute of livestock production in Uhrineves on a long-therm basis. During his scientific career he was occupied f.e. by questions of non protein nitrogen substances in cattle feed in connection with the utilization of the carbohydrate raw materials and its preservation. His doctoral thesis as a scientist nominee was about the problems of physical and chemical modifications of the lignocelullose substancies and their feeding to ruminants. For the last 20 years he targets the nutrition and feeding technology of the high-milking dairy cows.

In the present time, together with his research work he is also responsible for the experimental farm of Research institute, where under his leadership lot of new trials and high quality results are found. In his past and current time he made several trials with protected methionine in dairy cows.
