Dr. Andrea Formigoni |
 Dr. Andrea Formigoni holds a degree in Medicine Veterinary of University of Bologna, Italy. He received his PhD in Animal Reproduction Physiology in 1991. Dr. Formigoni is full Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bologna and since 2006 responsible of the DairyUnit Centre of the Faculty. Dr. Andrea Formigoni has developed his activity in the field of animal nutrition, focusing particularly in the relation between nutrients (amino acids, chelated minerals and carbohydrates) and milk quality, animal health and reproductive efficiency. Recently Dr. Formigoni worked on the characterization of the forages NDF digestibility and the reduction of the nitrogen use in dairy cow feeding. As nutritionist he is member of the Scientific Committee of the Parmigiano- Reggiano Consortium. His activity is illustrated by 170 scientific papers published on national and international journals. |
