Safe animal feed is a prerequisite for production of safe food. Kemin's Food Safety initiative (FSi) is a conceptual model for the production of safe animal feed and providing the consumer with a safe, wholesome food supply. 	Encourages healthy microflora by suppressing the pathogenic bacteria while promoting the lactic acid producing bacteria (lactobacilli), providing essential support in suppressing enteric diseases in all animal species.

	Ensures microbial safety from residual pathogens and promotes stability of feeds during production. The SalCURB nutricine line is used throughout the production process, preventing contamination and recontamination by bacterial pathogens.

Moisture Optimization Program (MOP)

A program assuring the correct moisture level for feed production, preservation and decontamination.

Moisture level and its management are crucial in feed hygiene because moisture is a key factor for feed decontamination and feed preservation. MOP offers a total and definite solution for moisture management, from the production, the nutritional and the feed safety point of view.

Kem Wet^® and Myco CURB^® contain surfactants that are effective as wetting agents. These nutricines are added to the feed production line for optimum moisture management during the feed production process, transport and storage.
